Please don't leave! I love librarians. Especially sexy librarians with long hair, sexy glasses and....where was i going with this? Anyways, don't be discouraged or leave. I'm no artist but i am a phone operator which allows me to learn a lot about human nature. and one thing i've learned is that the instant a human being realizes that they don't owe you any respect they'll go out of they're way not to give it you. sadly, it's just the way we are. just wait until we have robot waiters and servants. as far as your latest submission goes i loved. and so did many others. i mean, you got FRONT PAGE. and last i checked, numbers don't lie. just keep up the good work and take pride in the fact that none of those idiots can ever possess half of the talent that you do.
Yeah, its a real tragedy to see another decent artist shunned because of an audience too dumb to understand what tallent truly is. These foul mouthed kids don't really understand. It saddens to see another artist go.
dont let the trolls get to you they probably have no life and just like to make others miserable i just watched "i said no" and i thought it was funny great animation to also great drawing skills. People have unnecessarily high expectations around Newgrounds, and are too stubborn to accept any work to the best of other artist's abilities. Also, the anonymity of users allows them to be as hurtful as they want.
But don't listen to them. Only take heed in the the comments which are honest and truthful, which better help you. I think your work is fantastic. Sure, I'm not much a fan of anime, but for what you've done, for the best of your abilities, you're a fantastic artist.
Anyway, yeah. You'll always get the jerks who distastefully critique your work, and no one can avoid them. Just read and acknowledge what means the most. I like your work, and I'll be watching more of it.
People single you out because you're a girl and you make everyone painfully aware of it. I'll quote:

Look, half the artists here get criticized here, video game parody or not, and they don't whine about it. And just because you're a girl doesn't mean you'll get special treatment. Everyone here is equal and so will be treated equally. If someone is mean to you for Christ's sake, SUCK IT UP. Most of the people here are like what, 12, 13? You're going to quit just because some little kids were mean? You're almost a full fledged grown woman and you can't hold out a little comment by little kids? I'm sorry, but that's just sad. There are trolls EVERYWHERE on the interwebz. Especially on Newgrounds and DA. Just because a few people are trollin' doesn't mean the whole community is shit. It's a real shame that you were trolled, it really is, but get over it. I think the only reason you WEREN'T trolled on DA is your love of anime which is crazy rampant over there. >_>

I loved your latest flash submission, the voice acting was well done and your humor is as awesome as your ability to draw and animate. As a fellow lover of anime, your style draws me in and i want to see more.
So, your animation gets front page and people send you some hate mail. Big deal. If you had bothered to look at the General forums, you should've expected this kind of reaction. After all, it's essentially the spirit of Newgrounds; internet anonymity, the freedom to say whatever you want to a complete stranger and not have to worry about real life repercussions.
Anyways, looking at some comments left on your page, I'm sure you'd disappoint a lot of fans here by leaving permanently. Don't let them down.
Well, people seem to only think I got hateful reviews...
Try being sexually harassed by 30+ PM's from all different people, who can say whatever they want to me without fear of other people seeing them. And no I'm not exaggerating, some guy even tracked me down on youtube and left me sexually explicit comments about the size of my chest, the length of my hair etc...oh my god!
Yeah I'm no quitter, and I knew leaving this journal at 3am then going to bed upset was not a good idea~! I will stay. :)

Newgrounds is an internet hate machine only rivaled by 4chan, and perhaps the other chans. People aren't being mean to you for the sake of being mean, they're being mean because they think it's funny, which unfortunately, it probably would be if you react the way that they want.
